Community Rules

These rules are applicable when you are in city on our servers

C1 - Respect Staff and your fellow role-players.

We expect everyone to demonstrate a degree of mutual respect and courtesy towards others.

Random or targeted abuse and hostile RP with no prior roleplay or build up story will not be tolerated and you can expect to be vacated.

We all come into the city to escape the perils of day to day life in the real world and most importantly to have fun and socialise. If this is not what you are seeking to do then this isn't the city for you.

C2 - You must not offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate a person or group because of their race, colour, or national or ethnic origin. This includes having conversations where racial slurs are used regardless of the people present.

Players must remain in character during all roleplay interactions referencing real life identities experiences or situations - whether your own or someone else's you are interacting with is strictly prohibited.

This includes discussing real names, personal history, and any out of character disrupts immersion and the environment we aim providing.

This rule is not up for interpretation and will result in disciplinary action likely a permanent flight at staff's discretion.

We aim to create a safe and respectful environment and will not tolerate racial slurs or extremely vulgar language. This includes messages via /me and all in city social media channels.

Threats or conversations that involve any mention of self harm or suicide is strictly forbidden. This includes when used in abbreviation or implied formats.

Insults or targeted attacks against a person's out of city life about their friends and family, children or any references to a person's personal life will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

We will always review the context of which something was said. The punishment of a player in breach of this rule will ultimately be the decision of the staff member that is assigned to and managing the case.

Always remember to provide clips that are long enough to show the context of the conversation.

We want to remind you that your online footprint and profile is your responsibility and if you are uncomfortable with certain information being divulged please do not make it public. Although we seek to provide a safe and friendly environment should we find that your information was divulged due to poor management of your own public profile such as having your social media set to public your complaint will be closed immediately. We hope that you understand Aurora City cannot regulate or mediate for matters outside of city that falls within your own personal responsibility to yourself.

C3 - Powergaming

You must at all times keep the affairs and roleplay stories of your characters and it's (cousins) completely separate. Additional character slots are made available to you for the purpose of a new story and roleplay identity hence at no time can they share money, assets or social connections for the one another's gain.

Creating another character or "head" for the purpose of resuming or continuing the roleplay or story of a previous character is prohibited.

Example: You are a high ranking member of a government department but however you have been found guilty of criminal charges which causes grounds for termination.

You then create a new character "head" to escape justice and through your social connections attempt to have your new character reinstated with your old role and job posting.

This is considered as powergaming and is not permitted.

All individuals found to be actively aiding or conspiring to powergame can and will also be held to account with infractions and potentially a flight.

Good roleplay is the ability to play events out without the blind will to chase a only wins.

C4 - Cheating

Any cheating or third party software that grants you a unfair and unnatural advantage is strictly prohibited. If you are cheating know that you will always be found and permanently banned with no chance for appeal.

The use of information obtained through the use of cheating or hacking software is also strictly prohibited such as obtaining coordinates of secret locations etc.

If you have been associated with a cheater that has been banned, an note will be placed on your account documenting this association.

Players found to be frequently associating or playing with cheaters will also be permanently banned with no chance for appeal.

C5 - Voice ID

Pursuant to C3 the individual identities of your characters must be maintained hence voice ID or identification of a person through their voice is prohibited.

Voice ID can only be used to identify individuals for the purpose of investigating a Community Rule breach. This investigation is solely conducted by the Government only.

C6 - Real World Trading (RWT)

All in city currency or assets cannot be traded for any out of city money or other valuable items or currency.

Trades and commerce must occur in city only and using in city assets, items and currency.

If found to be engaging in RWT your account will be wiped and have all of it's currency, items and assets completely reset. This will also include all progression such as skills and levels for jobs.

C7 - Third Party Advertising

You are not permitted to advertise any third party or other servers without express permission from Government. This includes but is not limited to promotion of services related to FiveM such as clothing or vehicle development services. You can apply via our dedicated application channel found in discord.gg/auroracity to become an approved content creator or business partner.

You must not mention other cities in a promotional or marketing sense.

Any members found to be sending unsolicited messages or promotions to other members will receive a permanent ban with no chance for appeal.
