City Rules

These rules are applicable when you are in city on our servers.

You must stay in character at all times unless explicitly asked by staff (such as during a gov sit). You are not to break character or speak in out of city terms at any time.

F1 - Using out of character (OOC) information in character (IC) is strictly prohibited. If your character wouldn't realistically know something you cannot act upon this knowledge or information, including from other characters (cousins).

  1. Metagaming is a serious breach of our server rules. Engaging in metagaming can lead to significant penalties, often more severe than those for other rule infringements. Regardless of your history or standing, it's never worth the risk.

  2. Metagaming is defined as using information that your character hasn't organically acquired during roleplay. Examples include sourcing information from external broadcasts, relying on platforms like Discord instead of in-city communication tools, or acquiring information from other players outside of character interactions.

  3. It's also essential to remember that if you roleplay multiple characters (cousins), they cannot exchange information in any manner, including through intermediaries. Always strive for authentic and immersive roleplay experiences.

F2 - Players are not to kill or initiate hostile actions against other players without sufficient RP reasoning.

You must follow the following guidelines when engaging in hostile RP;

  1. You are not to initiate and engage players due to them having a weapon on their hip, however if a player has their weapons drawn you may initiate hostile RP against them as this poses a threat.

  2. Players participating in any form of hostile roleplay in groups are allowed a maximum of 5 members in their party or group including externals and scouts. Under no circumstances should more than 5 people be involved with the exception to Government approved Organisations whom must follow their own roster limits but must be in their Org clothing.

  3. Aggressive ramming, openly pointing a weapon, or shooting tires is considered a declaration of hostility in any situation and permits hostile retaliation. This rule applies to both police and criminals.

  4. VDM (Vehicle Deathmatching) is strictly prohibited.

  5. Initiating any forms of hostile RP against people using blips such as stores, houses and teleports (portals) is not permitted. Such as when a player enters a building you cannot sit at the door actively aiming expecting them to appear and kill them before they have even loaded into the building.

  6. When initiating hostile RP you must declare your intentions by giving them a clear declaration such as demanding them to put their hands up. You must allow a reasonable time for the other player to respond to your demands with the only exception being if they point their weapon at you or attempt to draw on you or otherwise perform any hostile actions towards you including using their radio or phone.

  7. Note shooting should always be your last resort when you've exhausted all other options. We encourage you to always explore other creative interactions like kidnapping, intimidation or verbal threats before resorting to lethal measures.

  8. You are not to kill, harm, kidnap or rob any items from Emergency Services personnel (EMS). This is strictly prohibited and if you are found to be intentionally killing or robbing EMS you will be promptly given a vacation.

  9. You are not permitted to rob or take any items with the serial VIC POL/VIC POL CIRT ect however you are free to take or retrieve any illegal items from police officers that you have killed located on their persons.

  10. You are permitted to take a police officer hostage for instance to facilitate an escape, only when there is at least 3 police officers in city. Information is available on live current Police, EMS and other job workers currently in city via the scoreboard and flexing your home key.

  11. All Green zones and official whitelisted businesses within the city are recognised as safe zones. These zones include but is not limited to hospitals, government department buildings and player owned housing. These zones may or may not have a green circle on the minimap that indicates the zone's status regardless you must not conduct any hostile RP or VDM within the zones of the premises.

  12. You may not rob any player/s from a scenario whom you are not involved with. You must be involved either directly or indirectly (such as receiving requests for help over radio from a friend). Entering a scene to randomly rob the dead will be punished. Likewise picking bodies up and going away from the scene to rob is also prohibited.

  13. You are not to pickup any bodies while you are in a vehicle, this is considered exploiting. You must exit the vehicle to pickup bodies.

  14. Job Equipment is not to be given out under any circumstances. Criminals may only remove illegal weaponry from workers when partaking in criminal activity and must not rob any items

Your adherence to these guidelines ensures a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants. Breaking rules and continuing to rule break will result in a bad record on your file which will impact future incidents likely resulting in you getting a vacation or fast tracked for permanent vacation.

F3 - You must remain in character at all times, both verbally, and through making sensible decisions. Value your character's life as you would your own. While portraying bravery is commendable, it should not venture into the realm of being unrealistic. Here are some guidelines to ensure you're giving due regard to your character's life:

  1. Real-world precautions apply: Just as you'd check both directions before crossing a street in reality, your character should do the same in-game.

  2. Guns dictate caution: If someone draws a gun on you and you don’t have a weapon out, it's prudent to surrender. However if you're in a stationary vehicle and threatened with a firearm you may either surrender or attempt to drive away, but deliberately running over the aggressor is not allowed and will be considered a breach of the VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch) rule.

  3. Avoid recklessness: Stay clear of shootouts, don't crash your vehicle intentionally, and avoid actions like leaping from cliffs. Claiming to be a "daredevil" doesn't justify such behavior and will be punished.

  4. Exceptions: Certain organisations, under specific scenarios, may have some leeway. For example, they might be allowed to escape to protect their assets. This is at the discretion of the staff.

  5. Valuing life in confrontations:

Do not bait or force interactions with Organisations or the Police.

During robberies or when held at gunpoint, prioritise safety by being compliant. If asked to unlock your vehicle under such circumstances, you must oblige.

  6. While dead: You may not communicate (including via /me) or lock vehicles that were otherwise unlocked prior to your death. Harassment or threatening to report players via /me after you have died will not be tolerated.

In essence, always approach situations with a balance of in-character bravery and genuine concern for your character's well-being and safety.

F4 - Actively trying to ruin other peoples experience with bugs or simply trolling / baiting / griefing them is not permitted. Repeatedly punching or killing the same person for the same reason is considered griefing.

  1. Our community prioritises the well-being and comfort of all participants. Consequently, any roleplay involving mature or triggering themes—such as sexual harassment, assault, or self-harm—is expressly forbidden. If you find yourself questioning whether a particular theme is permitted, it's best to err on the side of caution. Always be mindful of fellow participants and choose themes that ensure a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Let's create a respectful roleplaying experience for all.

  2. The discretion to allow the use of Voice changing software on other characters ultimately rests with staff. If you are advised to turn off Voice changing software, it must be turned off irrespective of your characters back story.

F5 - Reports & rule breaks should be reported via either in city reports or via our support discord only. You are not to @ tag staff members as this will not speed up the process. Please also remember that you should provide player IDs and preferably a clip to help expedite your ticket process.

  1. For in-game grievances against a player or to report a bug, please use the /report feature. Please be specific and descriptive in your reports; vague requests such as "admin to me" or "fix my car" will not receive a response. If, for any reason, you're unable to use /report, you can submit a Player Report via our Discord ticket system. Failure to report via these channels (i.e., directly messaging staff or taking matters into your own hands) will be considered a breach of this rule.

  2. Witch-Hunting and Vigilantism: Any attempts to enforce the server rules yourself or harass rule breakers will result in punishment. Members are requested to report any rule-breaking behavior through the appropriate channels and allow the staff team to handle the situation.

  3. Within our FiveM server, all players engaging in roleplay are required to have a functional and clear microphone. Exceptions can be made, but only with a valid reason presented to the staff team via a ticket submission. We prioritise immersive and coherent interactions for all participants.

  4. Members are not permitted to advertise or promote other servers on our platforms. This includes posting links, sending direct messages to other members, or any other form of promotion.

Additionally, if you have a hoisted role in the Discord server and your activity status displays another server or group, your role may be removed.

F7 - Scamming is not permitted unless the trade involves prohibited weapons and/or drugs. Money scammed during these trades are not protected.

  1. Scamming relating to non-illegal items is prohibited, these includes items obtained from legitimate activities such as fishing, metal detecting, mining etc.

  2. You must not impersonate the Police or Staff while scamming for illegal items. Doing so will likely get you a vacation along with removal and return of any scammed items and monies to the original owner.

F8 - Combat Logging to avoid loss of items.

  1. Players are prohibited from disconnecting or forcefully exiting the game to avoid any roleplay scenario, including but not limited to combat, police chases, and other conflict situations. This rule applies at all times, regardless of the in-game status or real-life circumstances. If you need to leave the game, ensure you are not in an active roleplay situation before doing so.

  2. We understand that sometimes genuine events that are unexpected happen. If you experience such a event you will be expected to provide evidence in the form of a clip that clearly shows a genuine event.

F9 - The "New Life Rule" is activated once your character has faced a fatal event and hasn't been revived by either an on-duty member from Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or Ambulance. This rule ensures the continuity and immersion of roleplay experiences, and we appreciate your adherence.

Here's how it works:

  1. Memory Post-Revival: You only recall the events leading up to your demise if you are revived by EMS or brought to hospital prior to having to see the light. If you see the light this doesn't restore your memory you should roleplay as if waking up in a hospital unaware of how you got there.

  2. Witness Accounts: If someone witnessed your untimely end and informs you afterward, that information is permissible.

  3. Strict Enforcement: This rule is rigorously upheld. While we recognize errors occur, it's crucial to navigate this rule diligently.

  4. Communicating Post-Injury: Upon reaching the death screen, you can't provide a recount of the events or identities involved. You're limited to roleplaying your injuries without disclosing names or specifics. For instance, if you're in a shootout, you can alert allies of your location, but if you're incapacitated before this you can't reveal who shot you upon their arrival. For example communicating to allies via the /me function after you have died when they find your body.

  5. Any other events to a new life such as seeing the light means you cannot recall the events leading up to your death.

F10 - Must win attitude.

  1. An attitude driven solely by the desire to win is unacceptable. Remember, this is roleplay, and it's natural to experience both victories and defeats.

  2. You should not rob purely for financial gain without any roleplay motives. Such as robbing someone simply because they are driving an expensive vehicle is not enough justification, be a bit more creative actively engage in some genuine roleplay first. Who knows you may even end up becoming friends and the hostile event completely cancelled from your mind.

F11 - Vehicle Death Match (VDM)

  1. Using your vehicle to intentionally harm or kill another player is strictly forbidden. While vehicles should not be weaponized in roleplay scenarios, performing a "pit" maneuver at low speeds is permissible. However, when considering a pit maneuver, ensure that it adheres to the realistic driving guidelines, especially regarding speed.
